Anonymous asked: Do you ever wonder if Meg and Jack still keep in touch? I think about that almost every time I think about them. I'm pretty sure they do keep in touch. But for some reason, I get the feeling that they won't always. It actually makes me really sad. I don't know them personally, so I don't know why I worry so much about their friendship. Do you get what I'm trying to say, because it's kinda hard for me to put it into words.

I understand! I’ve heard that Meg visits Third Man Records sometimes, but it feels like they’re sort of living their own lives now. Which is really sad to me. But I guess it is what it is.

After Hours (The Velvet Underground) // live cover by The White Stripes

BIGGEST MINDFUCK OF MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.

Okay, so one of my all-time favorite Velvet Underground songs (and one of my favorite songs in general) is called “After Hours”, which the drummer, Moe Tucker, sings. She rarely sings. A few weeks ago, I realized that I finally figured out who sounded like her: Meg White, also a female drummer who also rarely sings! Tonight, I was looking for a cover of a completely different VU song, when BAM! Wikipedia tells me that The White Stripes covered After Hours once during a live show. I couldn’t believe what I was reading, so after some more Google-ing, BAM! I find an mp3 of Meg White singing After Hours in 2000.

WHAT IS MY LIFE. I HONESTLY CANNOT COMPREHEND THE CRAZY-ASS COINCIDENCES. OF ALL OF THE VU SONGS THEY COULD HAVE COVERED, THEY JUST HAPPENED TO COVER MY FAVORITE. TOO MANY CONNECTIONS JF;DJSA;FJODIASJFDASKL;

No one will ever understand how important After Hours is to me, and I always thought it was one of the lesser-know Velvet Underground (MY FAVORITE 60S BAND) songs. But now I find out that THE FREAKING WHITE STRIPES, MY FREAKING FAVORITE MODERN BAND COVERED IT?! C’MON YOU GUYS.
